- May 23, 2018 -

According to the analysis of the IEEFA of the energy economy and financial analysis Institute, China and India are promoting the rapid development of global large-scale solar power generation because of the cost of building new projects.

"Solar energy is playing a more and more important role in promoting the continuous transformation of the global power market, storage, wind, hydroelectric power and energy efficiency," IEEFA said in a report.

According to IEEFA statistics, the world's largest practical scale solar energy projects are concentrated in China and India, including:

According to Peng Boxin energy finance data, IEEFA said that in 2017, the world's new installed solar power was 98 gigawatts and China accounted for 53 GW. At the same time, the electricity cost of generating units during the period of use decreased by 15% to 86 US dollars / MW.
